Rutherford’s musical adventure began at an early age on the bass loaded streets of Bristol, UK. Growing up amongst a soundscape of the cities cult artists, such as Massive Attack, Tricky & Portishead, motivated him to throw his first D&B rave at the now legendary Lakota at the age of 18.
Over the next ten years he notched up residencies at some of the UKs most coveted clubs, such as Turnmills, SE1, Lakota, Clockwork & Medicine Bar.
Rutherford setup the now multi award-winning Superheroes series of events. Breaking the mould for Dubai nightlife scene and introducing a more playful, accessible, and often down right bonkers vibe to the cities scene. Since it’s inception Superheroes has hosted the likes of The Streets’ Mike Skinner, MJ Cole, Low Steppa, Stanton Warriors, Jack Beats, Marshall Jefferson, Taiki Nulight, Roska, Billy Kenny, Plump DJs, The Freestylers, Slipmatt and many more.
